On any web page, select the text you want to hear and press Insert to open the reader menu.
No Insert key? Use Ctrl+Shift+U, or rebind it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Reading a PDF? Chrome's PDF viewer blocks the Insert menu. Open the PDF in ReadLouder's own viewer instead:
Voice, speed, pitch and volume are set inside the in-page menu and are remembered between sessions.
For local file:// pages and PDFs: open this extension's Details and enable Allow access to file URLs.
